The OPUS Building Service Directory, previously published by Building Services Publications Limited as the official directory of CIBSE under the terms of an arrangement between the Builder Group (owned by UBM Information Limited) and CIBSE, has been closed down and will no longer be published.

Following a mutual and amicable agreement between CIBSE and UBM Information Limited (UBMi), the owners of the Building Services Publications Ltd, no further issues of the directory will be available.

However, both CIBSE and UBMi are launching new print and online directories to serve building services engineers. CIBSE’s publication will be a comprehensive directory for use by building systems designers and specifiers, as well as providing information to building owners and occupiers who wish to improve the energy efficiency of their buildings. UBMi’s offering will form part of the established Barbour Compendium “Big Red Book” publication and Barbour Product Search online directory, both of which provide fast access to building product information for the specifier community.

The existing website http://www.barbour.info/opus will operate until 1st December 2009.
Existing advertisers in the OPUS Building Services Directory will be contacted shortly by a member of CIBSE’s sales team and UBMi’s sales team to discuss opportunities to appear in the new products.
