Airbloc

Overview

The Airbloc range comprises ambient unheated models or heated models using gas, electricity, hot water or steam. In well-insulated structures, Airbloc provides the final complement to the low-energy concept by eliminating a major source of heat loss.

Commercial/retail air curtains

The Airbloc AC Series is a commercial/retail air curtain, designed to be aesthetically pleasing when wall mounted or on drop rods in front of a glass-fronted entrance.

Ceiling tile heater

The Airbloc ACT Series is an electric heater that directs a downflow of warm air from overhead, delivering immediate heat where required and rapidly creating a comfortable environment for staff and customers. Airbloc ceiling-tile heaters provide cost-effective heating solutions for retail outlets, stockrooms, restaurants and showrooms. Benefits include:

• surface mounted or recessed to replace a standard ceiling tile
• maximum mounting heights of 3 to 3.5m
• good aesthetic appearance

Industrial air curtains

The Airbloc AB and ABX Series of industrial air curtains provide a barrier of high-velocity air that helps block incoming winds and stops warm air escaping. Units can be easily fitted within existing or new buildings, and are ideal for open doorways. Airbloc industrial air curtains are designed for industrial or large warehousing doors. Benefits include:

• choice of ambient, gas, low-pressure hot water, electric or steam heated
• units can be mounted either horizontally or vertically
• suitable for doorways up to 6m high

SmartElec

An energy-saving control unit that reduces both power consumption and energy costs by up to 50%, SmartElec is the ideal complement for energy-saving air curtains. Suitable for both new and existing installations, SmartElec is packed with features to make life easier for installers and users alike.

• maintains constant outlet temperature at required room setting with tolerance for countering air-curtain velocity
• air-outlet sensor mounted within the air curtain to enable accurate temperature settings
• suitable for use with Airbloc AC and Airbloc ACR 3 phase electrically-heated units
• centralised control units can be mounted up to 50m from the air curtain
• simple installation, wiring connections are direct to the controller, no intermediary terminal blocks are required

Size and weight

Commercial/retail air curtains are available as modular units in 1, 1.5 and 2m sizes, and weighing from 40 to 60kg. Ceiling tile heaters are 220mm height x 600mm width x 600mm depth, and range from 10 to 20kg.

Industrial air curtains are available in modular units from 2.1 to 6.3m, and weighing 115 to 875kg.

Appearance

AC commercial/retail air curtains are available in White (RAL 9010) or Metallic Silver as standard. Additional colours are available to order. Ceiling tile heaters are available in a White finish with egg-crate grilles to ensure visual integrity of the interior is retained.

Performance

Commercial/retail air curtains are available with a choice of 9, 12, 18 and 24kW (heated models).

Ceiling-tile heaters are available with three heating capacities of 3, 4.5 and 6kW outputs.

Industrial air curtains are available with outputs from 24 to 206kW.

Airbloc sells its extensive range of products through a network of heating contractors and wholesaler outlets based in the United Kingdom. Area Sales Managers are available to give advice and support installation teams where necessary. All Area Managers are experienced in site support and will address any problems relating to the installation or assembly of Airbloc equipment.
