The KDB powerful combination boiler is made from austenitic stainless steel throughout. It makes the boiler long-lasting, easy to clean and very light for manhandling.
Composition and manufacture
The KDB boiler is manufactured from SUS 444 austenitic stainless steel. The patented combustion and heat exchanger is manufactured from SUS 444 stainless steel. The powerful domestic hot water coil is manufactured from Grade 304L austenitic stainless steel.
- Economisers
The Technaplus-RT add-on condensing economiser is capable of converting the KDB combination boiler with flue gas temperatures of up to 180°C into a condensing boiler with flue gases at temperatures of below 50°C. Boiler efficiency rises from around 80% GCV into the range of 92°C and above. The Technaplus economiser takes return water at around 70°C from the primary or space-heating return circuit and draws the flue gases down to around 90°C. The RT economiser draws in outside air at temperatures of 30°C down to -5°C. The air is pre-warmed by flue gases leaving the boiler, thus reducing the heat requirement from the fuel.
The RT is suitable for oil and gaseous fuels alike. - Flues
Since the year 2000, Atlantic has supplied all condensing boilers and high-efficiency condensing boilers with TUV approved Technaflon high-grade plastic flues. Supplied either in rigid or semi-flexible form, they are lightweight and strong in both horizontal or vertical positions. Technaflon flues are suitable for use with boilers firing natural gas, LPG, light oil, kerosene, rapeseed oil and biodiesel, as well as other renewable fuels, including wood chips.
Technical data
Depending on the model and water input temperature, KDB boiler outputs range from 1,010 to 7,133 litres/hour at 82°C. KDB boilers have an efficiency of 82 to 94% GCV. Efficiency above 92% is achieved by using an economiser. In addition, the boilers can be used alongside domestic hot water buffer storage where heavy peak demands occur.

All boilers have full CE approval and meet all statutory requirements and approvals.
