Armitage Shanks can provide a range of water-saving products for washrooms. These include the Aridian waterless urinal.
Composition and manufacture
The Aridian waterless urinal requires no water at all to flush, and has been tested across the world.
Urine flows down the surface of the urinal and drains into the advanced Sealtrap® cartridge. The cartridge is filled with a special liquid, Allseal™, which is perfumed and acts as a barrier, preventing foul air from the drain entering the washroom.
This is achieved by the liquid floating on the surface, inside the cartridge, and trapping any solids at the cartridge base. This creates a fast installation time and there is no requirement to fit flushpipes, cisterns, flushing control devices or bottle traps. The amount of water saved is 150,000 litres per year per bowl. Each cartridge lasts for an average 7,000 uses.

The waterless-system design means no unpleasant smells and requires very little maintenance and cleaning.
