Alcover Metra systems: various profile depths between 40 and 150mm. Casement, tilt-turn, turn-tilt, pivot, top swing, tilt slide, sliding, folding and concertina configurations available for the cold and thermally-broken series and for inserting into Alcover Alcoglass curtain-walling systems.
Quality components combine with detailing to ensure durability and ease of installation.
Easy-to-clean, fully-reversible windows are offered, in addition to bomb-blast resistant, security and remote-control windows, and acoustic windows and doors. Automation devices are also available. Alcover also manufactures systems such as Schüco, Technal, Alcoa, Reynaers and Hydro.
Composition and manufacture
Thermally-broken aluminium, bronze and steel window systems consist of outer and inner profiles, held together by a polymer thermal-insulation bar. The systems comply with The Building Regulations Part L1 and Part L2, whilst using double-glazing units with the appropriate U value.

A wide range of profiles is available.
Aluminium widths: 40, 50, 65 and 72mm.
Appearance
Aluminium profiles are offered in polyester powder-coated or anodised finishes. Dual-colour options on aluminium profiles and timber/aluminium sections are available. Also offered: zinc-plated powder-coated steel, satin, scotch brite and polished stainless-steel profiles, and pre-patinated bronze profiles.
Performance
NC 65 STH and NC 72.1 STH profiles are manufactured to DIN 4108 thermal class 2.1 and 1, with super-insulating glass: U value, 1W/m2K. Sound insulation, 30 to 55dB. Profiles are CE marked.

A full design, supply and installation service is available direct from Alcover, offering an integrated external-envelope package, which includes curtain walls, frameless glazing, louvres, cladding and partitions.
