Curtain-wall systems: Alcoglass®

Alcover designs aluminium curtain-walling systems for use in vertical and curved facades, structural glazing, sloped glazing, atria and advanced applications.

Alcover curtain-walling systems also include Metra, Schüco and Hydro profiles.
Facade system: thermally insulated in Frame Group 1.0 and 2.1, DIN 4108. Curtain-wall average U value: 1 to 1.8W/m2K (glazed),
0.2 to 0.45W/m2K (spandrel). Sound insulation, DIN 4109, group 5, 45 to 55dB.

Glass, stone, terracotta, Alucobond®, aluminium and timber panels can be incorporated up to 45mm. Available with bomb-blast and ballistic resistance.

Non-visible windows are available as well as manual and motorised vents. Alcover systems also include solar-shading solutions and aluminium and glass aerofoil solar-shading fins.

Frameless Planar glazing, structural glazing and Sky bolted-glass systems are available.

Bespoke project solutions are offered.

Alcover is a member of CWCT, Bath.

Alcoglass® thermal properties comply with Part L of The Building Regulations.

Alcover has achieved CE marking for its curtain-wall and window systems.

Size and weight

Available in 40, 50, 65, 72mm profile widths, with mullion and transom depths to suit design, construction and structural requirements.

Appearance

Available in a range of over 200 polyester powder-coated finishes or anodised to comply with British Standards. Steel, stainless-steel, copper and timber profile solutions also available.

Performance

Facade systems achieved performance figures of 600Pa for watertightness and air leakage under
BS 6375-1:1989. Together with a 2,500Pa rating for wind resistance, this means the Alcover facades can be used in high-rise applications.
