Avon Armour Ltd

Secure enclosures, display cases

Historical houses, churches and museums contain some of the nation’s most important treasures. They are increasingly suffering attacks from determined thieves. Intruder alarms can only warn of entry. Items are being stolen during opening hours by smash and grab when alarms are switched off and at night by forced entry through weak doors and windows.

Avon Armour’s display cases are designed to protect items of high value. They can be built to match existing cases or as single, bespoke cases for individual treasures. Laminated glass and glass/polycarbonate composites can be used with frames manufactured from laminated steel and timber. Fibre-optic lighting is often employed to show the items to their best advantage.

Avon Armour manufactures high-strength doors and windows to match period or modern edifices. Laminated glass of varying thicknesses is employed in the windows to resist forcing tools, hammers or even ballistic weapons. The glass often has alarm cable concealed within the panels that is unseen by the naked eye.

Sitework

Avon Armour offers a survey, design, manufacture and installation service throughout the UK. This will often include all sitework, demolition and alteration, electrical and mechanical services, and internal finishes, often undertaken out of hours to avoid disruption.
