Counters meet BS 8300:2001 for fully accessible counters; BS EN 1063, BS EN 1522 and BS EN 1523 are also covered in the higher-specification glass screens where there is a risk of firearms being used. Screen frameworks meet the requirements of BS 5357 for strength of frames and depths of glass rebates. They are constructed from steel, stainless steel or aluminium.
Concealed speech rails are usually included; for noisy areas, voice-amplification speakers and microphones form part of the system. Amplifiers can be extended into AFI loops for people who use hearing aids, in accordance with DDA requirements.

Locking is either by registered key, keypad, swipe card, proximity card, fingerprint or hands-free. Siphon lobbies are designed to protect staff from violent threat and to restrict entry into sensitive areas. The company provides custom-built electronic interlocks.

A wide variety of finishes is available, including RAL and BS colours, stainless steel or brass, modern or period timber finishes for counters and doors.
