Avon Armour Ltd

Secure enclosures, stongroom doors

A door leaf and its frame are critical when providing a secure envelope. Avon Armour strongroom doors’ resistance ranges from manual attack to shotgun resisting.

Control can be by registered key, digital pin, swipe, proximity, video or hands-free. The latest physical recognition systems are also available including hand shape, fingerprint, facial recognition or iris scan. Radio transmitters can also be used to release the doors remotely.

Siphon lobbies are designed to protect staff from violent threat and to restrict entry into sensitive areas. Avon Armour provides custom-built electronic interlocks. Also available is an extensive range of secure walling and windows.

The new European Standards BS EN 1063, BS EN 1522 and BS EN 1523 are achieved with the higher-specification doors and frames. Locking on the fire-exit doors is by panic exit hardware to BS EN 1125 or to BS EN 179. Escape locks can also incorporate the recognition systems including hand shape and fingerprint, as mentioned above.

Powered automatic-door operators assist entry for disabled, infirm or elderly people. They are quiet in operation and comply with BS 7036-4, and all relevant CE requirements.
