Cladding support systems: Ashgrid™, Safe-Loc

Developed by Ash & Lacy in 1988, Ashgrid™ was the first spacer support system for built-up metal roofing and cladding. It is manufactured to BS EN ISO 9000:2000, and all Ashgrid™ components are produced to stringent quality-control procedures.

The Ashgrid™ spacer support system is a strong, simple and efficient method of installing metal roof and wall cladding systems.

The fully-engineered Safe-Loc bar and bracket allow the system to be fully adjustable, whilst maintaining its structural integrity. By offering a wide range of bracket heights, the system is versatile enough to meet the stringent performance requirements of Approved Document L2 (ADL2), and also provides an assessed firewall solution.

Composition and manufacture

Ashgrid™ AG40 bar is manufactured from 1.25mm thick, high-yield galvanised steel.

Ashgrid™ brackets are manufactured from 1.6mm thick, galvanised steel.

Performance

Ashgrid™ AG40 bar: minimum yield is 390N/mm2, minimum tensile strength is 460N/mm2.
