Rainscreen cladding: Ashtech™The Ashtech™ ACM rainscreen-cladding system provides the external element of a rainscreen system by using cassette panels.
The numerous benefits of this system include high durability and low maintenance; a flat, rigid building facade; panel designs are easily integrated with building elements, such as louvres, windows, doors and atria; and the cladding is easily shaped and curved to create bespoke details for capping, copings, bullnoses and fascias. This system is ideal for new build and refurbishment and can be fixed to any external wall construction providing it is a rigid structure.
Composition and manufacture
Cladding systems are fabricated cold using CNC technology from pre-coated, flat aluminium (ACM) sheets, to create a ventilated cold facade. Panels are cut down to the required dimensions, and a groove is routed along the inside of the panel fold to create the required shape. The panel returns are then folded into the required cassette design and all corner returns are secured with rivets. To meet designed wind loadings and panel-deflection requirements, individual panel cassettes may require stiffening to the reverse face with aluminium rails.
Appearance
Ashtech™ rainscreen cladding system is available in a range of vertical and horizontal joint arrangements and a variety of colours and finishes in solid aluminium and composite ACM?materials.
Performance
Thermal insulation is easily incorporated to achieve a desired U value.
Effect of fire
ACM rainscreen cladding panels meet the requirements of BS 476:Parts 6 and 7, achieving a Class 0 rating as classified by The Building Regulations.
