The aluminium-polyethylene-aluminium sandwich construction provides exceptional flatness and low-weight characteristics.
Alucobond® can be used for a wide range of external applications including: cladding panels, roof edgings, fascias and soffits, signs, balconies and canopies. The material is also suitable for interior use.
Alucobond® has been awarded BBA Certificate no 05/4214.
Composition and manufacture
Aluminium sandwich panel comprising two skins of 0.5mm aluminium bonded to a plastic or mineral core.
Size and weight
Thickness: 4mm as standard; 3 and 6mm on request.
Widths up to 1,500mm as standard. Other widths up to 1,750mm on request.
Lengths: up to 3,200mm as standard; up to 6,000mm on request.
Weight: 4mm, 5.5kg/m2.
Appearance
A wide range of finishes is available: mill finish, anodised, a range of PVDF lacquer colours including metallic and recently introduced natural aluminium surfaces.

Alucobond® is a Class 0 material as defined by The Building Regulations.
Sitework
Alucobond® exhibits exceptional workability characteristics: it can be cut by saw or guillotine; drilled or punched; shaped cold by pressing or rolling; and a routing and folding technique makes complex three-dimensional shaping possible. Fixing is by screws, bolts, rivets and adhesives and the material can be incorporated into most framing and glazing systems.
