Pergolas: from simple to more complex structures, Project W is ideal for promoting the growth of climbing plants. The pergolas can form part of complicated structures of enclosures and open-roof frames.
Roof constructions, walkways and entrance canopies: Project W standard columns and support beams can be combined with a wide range of roof types and materials.
Rubbish collection/storage compounds: an opportunity to transform usually unsightly areas with Project W structures combining columns and grid mats for compounds housing rubbish, plants or gas bottles. Lock-up gates and open- or closed-roof elements can be added.
Natural Green covers: Project W offers ability to enhance harsh urban structures and areas with plant supporting steel frameworks using the basic system parts.
Anti-fall guards: a combination of grid mats and steel columns can be used to form barriers for multi-level car parks. The structures are designed in accordance with DIN to a loading of 2kN at 500mm height.
Composition and manufacture
The steel-basket component is available in rectangular or triangular cross-sections of 165 and 215mm in any length required. The ends are cut and formed for intersecting at any angle required. The steel columns are in four different lengths for surface or below-ground fixing. Horizontal curved or gable beams connect to the columns. Finials are available as decorative features for the column tops. Grid mats are supplied in 50 or 100 x 200mm sizes and additionally can include horizontal strengthening wire. The grid mats can be formed into various shapes, eg circular, oval, triangular or octagonal. Project W elements are assembled with a purpose-designed range of connectors and accessories.
Appearance
Steel components are hot-dip galvanised. Additionally, a powder-coated finish can be applied to the galvanised steel in a choice of 192 RAL colours.
Sitework
A proposal will be formulated from the basic ideas produced by the architect or specifier. For more complicated proposals, a CAD drawing will be included. The proposal can include a quotation for equipment assembly and installation.
