Composition and manufacture
The Stratford door range is manufactured in a variety of hardwoods and laminated softwoods, supplied from well-managed renewable sources. Door panels are manufactured from either veneered MDF or solid timber, dependent on design.
Appearance
All products are manufactured either semi- or fully-finished with a choice of paint or stain finish in any RAL, NCS or BS colour. Ironmongery is available in Black, White, chrome or brass. Double-glazed units up to a maximum of 24mm can be fitted with either standard glazing, stained glass, leaded lights or argon-filled units.
Performance
The locking device on the range consists of a multi-point espagnolette system, comprising two hook bolts which are handle operated. The central bolt and latch is key operated (other options available).
Anti-drill euro cylinders and other security features are also optional. All doors and sidelights, where glazing is fitted, have toughened-glass units to comply with BS 6262:1982 as a minimum. Single and double door sets tested to PAS 23 and PAS 24 are also available. All Arden products are manufactured to BS 6375-1:2004 for weatherproofing.
