Case Study

BMW showrooms, Stevenage, Gloucestershire and Blackburn

Type of works: supply and installation of ATG Access automatic and static bolllards.

ATG Access has completed installation at a third BMW site. The company has provided complete access control and perimeter-protection solutions for Specialist Cars BMW in Stevenage, Cotswold BMW in Gloucestershire and Bowker BMW in Blackburn.

Each of the facilities now has ATG Access automatic bollards controlling access to and from site, and ATG Access static bollards protecting its perimeters.

Marketing Executive, Ian Parry said: “As manufacturers of automatic rising bollards and static bollards we were able to offer the complete package of access control and security for these very prestigious sites.”

Various methods of access control are employed at the different sites to meet the requirements of the users. At the Stevenage site, the bollards are operated via a keypad in the traffic indicator column; users input a 4 digit code to lower the bollards in the morning and then to raise them in the evening. This system is also linked into the site CCTV which zooms in on the entrance once the keypad is activated.

At the Gloucester site, the bollards are controlled using a similar keypad to Stevenage, whilst in Blackburn the system is operated by a manned security guard via key switch. Each of the systems has its integrity protected by ATG Access static bollards on the perimeter.
