Building cleaning/access equipmentThe company specialises in the design, manufacture, installation and maintenance of gantries, ladders and other access equipment for the cleaning and maintenance of glazed atrium structures (both internally and externally) and building facades. Products are designed and manufactured to comply with BS 6037, ‘Code of practice for permanently installed suspended access equipment’.
Advice and guidance is available to specifiers on any access problems, including submitting drawings and quotations on a provisional or tender basis. Where applicable, individually-prepared loading calculations are submitted, together with detailed specifications.
Atrium Gantrys also supplies, delivers, installs and maintains safety-wire and eyebolt installations and is an approved installer for Latchways Safety Systems.
Composition and manufacture
Equipment is manufactured from mild-steel or aluminium hollow-box sections and is of welded construction. Tracks are manufactured from hot-dip galvanised tubular-section steel. Universal beams or channels can be specified for heavier loadings. Eyebolts or plates are incorporated for the attachment of safety harnesses. Rungs, steps, chequerplate or open-mesh flooring are available, depending on design and angles of slope.

Appearance
Anti-corrosion protection paint finishes are applied in accordance with a BS EN ISO 9000 quality assurance system.
Sitework
Atrium Gantrys undertakes the installation and testing of all systems and offers the client a comprehensive maintenance and inspection service under contract.
Operation and control
Three methods of operation: pushed by operatives walking on adjacent roof or walkway; manual winding handle connected to the drive wheels by belts and pulleys, chains and sprockets or gearboxes; motor drive connected to the wheels and operated from a pendant or control panel mounted on the gantry.
