Gates/opening barriersThe Avon EB450 parking barrier is an electromechanical rising-arm barrier. It has a fast-acting arm and 100% duty cycle. The logic control panel is located within the lockable cabinet. An integral support maintains the boom in a horizontal position. An adjustable, spring-loaded end steady is available. The EB450 conforms to BS 6571-4. The Avon EB750 Excel barrier has all the features of the EB450 whilst catering for roads over 5m in width. A straining wire may be added for additional stability along with an adjustable, spring-loaded end steady or pogo support. The EB950 Triumph barrier provides a secure and reliable barrier for wider roads.
Avon barriers can be interfaced with many different forms of access control systems.
Avon manual equipment includes: counterweighted manual barrier with aluminium arm; Avon opening height restrictor, primarily for use in car parks and the Avon lane-closure gate with horizontal swinging arm.
Avon can also supply gate systems, in double- or single-leaf options, and ground track or cantilever sliding options.
Composition and manufacture
The EB450 and EB750 boom is manufactured from rectangular section aluminium. Barrier cabinets and covers are steel. The EB950 arm is circular section, reinforced and resin bonded fibres; supplied White with Red bands. Gates are RHS section; infills are SHS or CHS, welded mesh, sheet clad or corrugated palisade.
Size and weight
The EB450 is 1,135mm above foundation level with the boom at 840mm. The boom is 76 x 38mm. The EB950 is 1,160mm above foundation level with the boom at 960mm. Sliding and swing gates are produced in a variety of sizes to suit site requirements.
Appearance
All external parts undergo multi-process coating specification. The EB450 and EB750 boom is White polyester powder coated with Red Fascal striping. Cabinets and covers are shot-blasted for a grease-free surface, ready for two-pack high zinc primer, 40 microns and Yellow RAL 1007 textured, polyester powder-coat finish. Other colours available to suit site requirements.
