Channel Tunnel Rail Link. Ancon fabricated stainless steel bridge cappings and all associated support brackets for bridges running across the Channel Tunnel Rail Link. Each capping was supplied in a perforated pattern and had a special polished finish to its exposed face.
Marousi Train Station, Athens, Greece. Ancon Tension Bars have been used to support the canopies on the Marousi train station in the northern suburbs of Athens, Greece. The Ancon system was supplied in stainless steel and comprised 116 bright drawn bars and 237 electro-polished connecting forks and locking nuts.
Nottingham Breast Institute. An Ancon Tension System has been installed in the glazed atrium entrance of the new Nottingham Breast Institute at the Nottingham City Hospital. Ancon tension systems provide a high load capacity and can meet the demanding aesthetic requirements of today's architectural applications.
One London Wall. Radiussed stainless steel sections from Ancon were installed to support the rainscreen cladding on landmark office development, One London Wall. The stainless steel sections support the external stonework and are exposed on the internal face to create an attractive, architectural feature.
Sydney Olympic Stadium, Australia. Ancon DSD Shear Load Connectors were installed in Sydney’s Olympic Stadium. DSD 100's were installed at the beam to slab connections on this all-seat stadium.
Symons Street, Chelsea, London. Ancon manufactured a special stainless steel Gothic Arch to restrain the natural stone cladding of a prestigious residential development in Chelsea. Ancon provided technical advice at an early stage of the project and designed a Gothic Arch to meet the exacting specifications of the stonework.
The Cholera Monument, Sheffield. Ancon donated materials and technical support to the restoration of the Cholera Monument: One of Sheffield’s most visible and historic landmarks. Now fully restored the structure contains a stainless steel core comprising Ancon Reinforcing Bars, Couplers and Support Cleats.
The Lighthouse, Salford Quays. An Ancon masonry support system has been installed on The Lighthouse: an attractive four-storey office development in Salford Quays. The Lighthouse required stainless steel fixings to support a variety of architectural features including curved brickwork and large stone panels.
Waterloo International Terminal, London. Ancon supplied stainless steel floorplate for the maintenance area of this prestigious project. The raised teardrop pattern of the floorplate provides a high degree of slip resistance to both pedestrian and wheeled traffic.
West Elevation, St Pancreas Station, London. The Ancon-sponsored award for Best Craftsmanship at the 2006 Brick Awards was won by Irvine Whitlock for their outstanding work on the West Elevation of St. Pancras Station, London; a project on which Ancon Building Products supplied bespoke stainless steel brick support and restraint fixings.
