Roof access hatchesThe Access Panel Company manufactures single- or double-door roof hatches providing a high-quality, secure opening for access through flat, pitched, cladded-profile and standing-seam roofs.
Unlike other solutions, The Access Panel Company's roof hatch offers the option of being lockable from either side whilst still being able to be operated from the other side. This is crucial where the hatch may form part of an emergency escape route. This locking mechanism prevents unauthorised access from the locked side whilst still acting as a escape route from the other side.
A smoke vent version of the roof hatch is also available, operated by actuators or electromagnets that can be connected to fire alarm systems.
Composition and manufacture
The Access Panel Company's roof hatches are manufactured from 2mm gauge aluminium or 1.5mm gauge stainless steel. The double-skin aluminium lid and upstand incorporates 50mm of insulation to maintain U values across the roof area.

Available in standard sizes from stock or bespoke sizes to order.
Standard sizes (mm): 750 x 750, 900 x 750, 900 x 900 and 1,200 x 900.
Appearance
Powder-coated paint finishes are available.
Sitework
The Access Panel Company's roof hatches are delivered as supply-only. The hatches are lightweight in design for easy installation.
Operation and control
The roof hatch comes with gas struts to assist opening and to hold the door in the open position. The actuator-controlled smoke vent version comes with a control box enabling the panel to be used for ventilation.
