Altro Whiterock high-grade, semi-rigid PVC-U sheet is an ideal material for wall cladding and ceiling construction, in areas where hygiene, ease of maintenance and durability are required. An extremely practical, versatile and functional wall and ceiling cladding system, it is suitable for both commercial and industrial applications including: the food industry; hospitals and pharmaceutical manufacturers; sports areas such as changing rooms, swimming pools and showers; and kitchens and canteens. Different grades of Altro Whiterock meet the requirements of all current EU Regulations, BS 3757:1978, Type A3, and the BPF/BIBRA Code of Practice for materials in contact with foodstuffs.

Composition and manufacture

Altro Whiterock is available in three grades: extruded, laminated and heat resistant. It is fully bonded to the substrate using Altrofix W139 or W157 all-over adhesive system, ensuring there is no void behind the panels, and provides the smooth and impervious surface demanded by UK and EU Regulations for food-processing areas. High-impact watertight profiles are used for jointing.
Altro Whiterock has excellent dimensional stability, impact and chemical resistance. Once installed, it accommodates differential movement. It is non-porous, non-fibrous and impermeable. This ensures that the Altro Whiterock surfaces are easy to clean and hygienic. Altro Whiterock can be seamlessly thermoformed around angles and reveals and wrapped around protrusions, providing the surface demanded by modern hygiene requirements.

Appearance

The material is self-coloured throughout, and is available in White or a choice of pastel colours or patterned designs.

Effect of fire

Altro Whiterock PVC-U sheet achieves up to Class 0 fire rating when adhered to a non-combustible substrate, according to BS 476.

Cleaning and maintenance

Altro Whiterock PVC-U sheet can be easily cleaned by washing with water and diluted detergent solution.
