Flexible floor tiles/sheets: Altro MondoAltro Mondo high-performance smooth or studded rubber flooring has been designed to meet specifiers’ needs. Major airports, railway stations, shopping centres, office entrances, boutiques and hospitals have benefited from this flooring system. Altro Mondo rubber floors are designed to withstand the wear of foot and wheeled traffic. The grade should be chosen to meet expected traffic conditions.
Composition and manufacture
Synthetic rubber which is press vulcanised and calendered.
Accessories
Nosings and stair-trim sections in hard plastic, and matching riser and stringer sections in flexible plastic. Stocked in a choice of matched colours, others to order.

Effect of fire
Altro Mondo rubber floors are resistant to cigarette burns and do not readily support surface spread of flame. DIN 4102 hardly flammable, Class B1.
Sitework
Altro Mondo rubber floors must be installed in accordance with manufacturer’s laying instructions. Fixing is with a recommended adhesive to suitable smooth, dry subfloor. Direct-to-ground subfloors should incorporate an effective DPM.
Cleaning and maintenance
Altro Mondo rubber floors become easier to maintain the longer they have been installed. Maintenance instructions are available. Life-cycle costing comparisons can also be supplied.
