In-situ floor finishes: AltroScreed, AltroCrete EPAltroScreed EP and AltroCrete EP are light- to medium- and heavy-duty seamless, in-situ floor finishes tested to BS 6319:1983.
AltroScreed EP is a conventional low-cost, epoxy-resin silica-aggregate mortar compound, for floor areas subject to light to medium traffic. It cures rapidly to give a medium topping with moderate abrasion resistance. AltroCrete EP is formulated to provide a completely dust-free, slip-resistant floor with exceptional abrasion and impact resistance, combined with high levels of protection against attack by a range of chemicals. It gives exceptional service in heavy industrial areas and busy warehouses.
Both finishes are seamless, easy to clean and resistant to harbouring germs and bacteria. Both are available in two grades: AltroScreed plain colour finish for engineering works or warehouses; AltroScreed Quartz mottled finish for medium- to heavy-duty industrial areas requiring a decorative finish, such as food preparation in dry areas, canteens and offices. AltroCrete EP is available in two grades for installations of 6 to 9mm thicknesses, accepting foot traffic in 24 hours and heavy traffic in 3 days.
Composition and manufacture
AltroScreed EP is an epoxy-resin based mortar compound. AltroCrete EP is a solvent-free,
epoxy-resin binder with graded aggregate based on calcined flint. AltroScreed Quartz is a solvent-free, resin binder with graded colour-quartz aggregates.
