In-situ floor finishes: AltroFlow, AltroGripAltroFlow EP is a medium- to heavy-duty, epoxy-resin, in-situ floor finish, designed to provide a smooth, seamless, hygienic surface with a high degree of resistance to a wide range of chemicals. It may be used on concrete, granolithic and timber substrates. Suitable applications include warehouses, engineering workshops and general food preparation areas.
AltroFlow is available in four grades, providing varying finished thicknesses from 1 to 5mm. AltroFlow 1000 is applied at a nominal 1mm; AltroFlow 2000 is applied at a nominal 2mm; AltroFlow 3000 at a nominal 3mm; AltroFlow 5000 at a nominal 5mm.
AltroFlow is a trowel-applied system followed by rolling-out with a spiked roller. This produces a smooth, even finish, free from trowel marks. Also available is AltroStat SD, a static-dissipative epoxy.
AltroGrip Plus is a slip-resistant system which combines resins with abrasive aggregates, in a flow-applied epoxy flooring system, sealed with epoxy resin. The degree of slip resistance is governed by the size, shape and hardness of the aggregate used. Plain or quartz aggregates may be used to provide a decorative effect.
Composition and manufacture
Altro resin floorings are produced by the in-situ reaction of liquid resins to form a thermoset-plastic flooring with exceptional bond strength to correctly prepared substrates.
